In loving memory of Master Chef Alain Darc, the indomitable spirit and guiding light of Topaz, whose award-winning expertise, profound knowledge, and fervent passion have left an indelible mark on our culinary philosophy. With a legacy that began over a decade ago upon his arrival in Cambodia, Chef Papa Darc devoted his life to the enrichment of local culinary arts, significantly through his heartfelt work with the NGO Pour Un Sourire d’Enfant. Born into a venerable lineage of chefs, he was a custodian of culinary wisdom, a treasure trove of skills honed under the tutelage of illustrious French mentors. His remarkable achievements garnered acclaim from esteemed culinary authorities, including Michelin and Gault Millau.

Though Chef Alain Darc may have departed from this world in late 2023, his spirit endures within the heart of Topaz. We are committed to preserving and celebrating his extraordinary legacy, ensuring that his passion for culinary excellence and his dedication to nurturing the next generation of talent continue to inspire and guide us. In every dish we craft and every young chef we mentor, the essence of Chef Papa Darc’s remarkable journey and his contributions to the world of gastronomy are honored and cherished.
