"Embrace learning daily" – is the mantra fueling Lina Hak's journey at Topaz. She was recruited in 2006 by Arnaud Darc, CEO of Thalias, who was captivated by her honesty and people-centered mindset. Rising through the ranks, Lina balanced her role with studying law and acquiring numerous certifications. As a mentor and leader at Topaz, she's vital, and her warm presence enhances Phnom Penh's bustling business network. Lina's wisdom and charm shine brightest when welcoming guests on Topaz's restaurant floor.
Master Chef Alain Darc, the backbone of Topaz, brings award-winning skills, knowledge, and passion to the table. Having arrived in Cambodia over a decade ago, he dedicates his life to nurturing local culinary talent through the NGO Pour Un Sourire d’Enfant. Hailing from a centuries-old lineage of chefs, Darc inherited a wealth of culinary expertise from renowned French mentors. His accomplishments have earned him recognition from prestigious restaurant guides like Michelin and Gault Millau.
For 15 years, Chef Sopheak's curiosity and passion for French cuisine have flourished at Topaz. His skills were honed through training stints at Michelin-starred establishments, including Alain Dutournier's Carré des Feuillants and Arrambide in Hotel les Pyrénées. Under Chef Alain Darc's mentorship, Sopheak's innate understanding of food has been enhanced, allowing him to master exceptional culinary possibilities. His international experience has prepared him to expertly navigate the kitchen, steering it like a well-oiled ship.
